Founded in 1938, the Library of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SAZU) is a special library and by far the largest of its kind in Slovenia. Exchanges of publications and duplicate stock have been established with over 1,550 institutions throughout the world and represent the most significant and active sphere of the Library's activities. SAZU Library is organised as the central library of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts with 17 smaller branch units attached to the various institutes of the Scientific Research Centre (ZRC SAZU). Its collection is searchable via the COBISS - Slovene Virtual Library system and some of the scientific papers and monographs published at the DLib.si - Digital Library of Slovenia website.
