In July 2007 representatives of the five regional Slovene Architects' Societies (Ljubljana, Maribor, Dolenjska, Coast and Primorska) decided to revive the Union of Slovene Architects' Societies, which had been established in 1980, but had remained inactive since 1982. Headquartered at the offices of the Architects' Society of Ljubljana (DAL), its aim is to enhance communication within the architectural profession at a national and international level.
