The Slovene Visual Art Residency in Paris is located at the Cité internationale des arts. It was established in 2025 as a joint effort of the Slovenian Association of Fine Arts Societies (ZDSLU) and the Ministry of Culture which assists artists in covering the costs of the two-month residency in the studio.

Eligibility

The residencies are offered to Slovenian visual artists (both members and non-members of ZDSLU; however, for non-members subsequent membership is mandatory). The selected residents are provided with accommodation, artistic creation opportunities, networking with local professionals, fellow artists and artists from around the world, and the possibility to organize an open studio as part of the cultural programme of Cité internationale des arts in the ZDSLU studio in Paris. The selection is carried out by a three-member committee consisting of representatives of ZDSLU, the Ministry of Culture, and the Cité internationale des arts. Candidates for the residency can apply through an annual open call for four two-month residencies.
