Goga Publishing House was established in December 1998 and it published its first book, Anton Podbevšek, 100 Supernatural Years, in January 2000.

Goga's literature publishing programme aims to give new perspectives on local literature, as well as on work in translation. Goga is interested in first-class literature related to current topics. Since 2003 Goga has also published the Anagoga edition, the first of this imprint being Latin literature by Pierre Grimal. Another edition is Lunapark.
