MKSC Koper Youth and Culture Centre was established in 1991 by the Association of the Friends of Moderate Progress as a venue for alternative public cultural programmes.

Projects

M&KC Koper Youth and Culture Centre organises and hosts the Koperground Festival, a festival of independent and engaged international film, literature and music every summer. The Stripzid at M&KC Koper Youth and Cultural Centre is also one of important ongoing project. M&KC engages mostly in crossborder cultural exchanges and collaborations.
