Brežice Library is a public library that engages in educational, entertainment, cultural and information activities for people in the Municipality of Brežice. In 2008 it had 5,749 members and its collection comprised 104,319 items. Its library collection is searchable via the COBISS - Slovene Virtual Library system and consists of different books (monographs, periodicals, etc) as well as video cassettes, audio CDs, CD-ROMs, DVDs, etc. The library also offers free information from electronic databases (IUS-INFO, EBSCOhost, OCLC and Bonex). It organises many events (book readings, presentations, exhibitions, etc.) for children and adults; the events organised in 2008 had 6,739 visitors. In 2010 the library started offering free computer courses.

Brežice Library was established in 1946. In addition to its central space, it has two movable book collections – at Pišece and at the military barracks in Cerklje ob Krki.
