The SKUP Awards are presented at the annual Slovene Festival of Chamber Theatre (SKUP), organised by the Ptuj City Theatre since 2001. The festival's expert jury grants awards – satyrs – for outstanding achievements in the production of "chamber" theatre, ranging from satyr for best performance, best direction, satyr for acting achievement, best music, light, and set design, etc. The festival accepts one production each from the current season of any professional Slovene theatre.
The recently awarded performances were Mamet's Boston Marriage by SNG Drama Ljubljana (in 2009), Strindberg's Miss Julie by Prešeren Theatre Kranj, Galcerán's Grönholm Method by Ptuj City Theatre, and Bulgakov's Don Quixote by Koper Theatre (in 2008).
