The [[Academy of Fine Arts and Design]] has been housed since 1945 in an old building at Erjavčeva. It comprises four academic departments and offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Graduate study courses take four years to complete and can be taken as full-time, part-time (1-3 vacancies) or parallel studies. They are held within the framework of six study programmes: three at the Design Department (Visual Communication, Industrial Design and Unique Design), and three more at the Departments of Painting, Sculpture and Restoration respectively. After completing their graduate studies, students can enrol in postgraduate studies within several programmes.

ArtNetLab was an experimental unit which was connecting art and science, through the presentation of techno-performances utilizing interactive devices, projects developed as open source art, and interactive Internet-based art video projects.
