Established in 1946, the Anton Tomaž Linhart Library, Radovljica is the central library in Radovljica, with branches in Begunje, Kropa, Lesce, Brezje, Bohinjska Bela, Bohinjska Bistrica, Gorje, Srednja vas, Stara Fužina, Zasip and Knjižnica Blaža Kumerdeja Bled. Encompassing 1,335 square metres of space, it offers a rich collection of books and multimedia items and a reading room with seating for 55 people. The oldest book in its collection is Valvasor’s The Glory of the Duchy of Carniola (1877), but it also holds many facsimile versions of other old books. Its oldest periodical is Zvon from 1870. Today the library’s collection comprises more than 57,500 items, among them 163 periodicals, around 2,000 audio items and more than 100 CD-ROMs.
