Established in 1946, Brežice Library is a public library that engages in educational, entertainment, cultural and information activities for people in Brežice Municipality. In addition to its central space, the library has two movable book collections - at Pišece and at the military barracks in Cerklje ob Krki. Its library stock is searchable via the COBISS - Slovene Virtual Library system and consists of different books (monographs, periodicals, etc) as well as video cassettes, audio CDs, CD-ROMs, DVDs, etc. The Library offers free information from electronic databases (IUS-INFO, EBSCOhost, OCLC and Bonex).
