Celje Youth Centre is a non-profit organisation registered as an institute for youth culture, education, information and sport. It offers a variety of events and activities: concerts (for example Jadranka Juras, Let 3), exhibitions, theatre and dance performances, and creative workshops (dance, photography, film, journalism, language). It runs Etno Urban Fest in June (in 2009 with the bands LeeLooJamais and Čompe) and also organises the Mediafest Festival of Contemporary Music and Digital Art, featuring live acts and multimedia presentations, and the Stopin'ce Youth Literature Festival.

The centre's staff work as volunteers running workshops in primary schools and also run an exchange of European volunteers (EVS programme), stimulating volunteer work among the young. The activities of Celje Youth Centre are funded by Municipality of Celje, the Office for Youth, Ministry of Education and Sport, the Employment Service of Slovenia, the EU Youth Programme National Commission, the Ministry of Culture and sponsors.

Since 2009 Celje Youth Centre is also a member of the M3C Multimedia Centres Network of Slovenia. Recently the centre has been engaged in the establishment of a Youth Hostel in Celje as it received funds from the Office for Youth, Ministry of Education and Sport, and the European Fund for Regional Development.
