CodeEp is a cultural association established to explore fields of contemporary visual communication, electronic music and urban performance. Individuals, groups and organisations co-create and explore the outermost limits of physical, media and cyber space through 'creative socialising'. CodeEp organises a wide spectrum of events and performances with urban flavour and eclectic attitude, at times arguably crudely commercial and at other times exploratory and with delicate substance.

Electronic music and the Spring Festival

In various sub-genres of electronic music, CodeEp organises performances by domestic DJs and VeeJays DJ Oh'so, DJ Ros Roca (nu jazz, groove, broken, lounge, jet-set), DJ Borka, DJ Dado, Nova Viator, DJ Nu (breakbeat), Markoman, VanAlec, JahMirko and DJ Dado (drum 'n' bass). CodeEp regularly invites international performers and DJ's.

Since 2000 CodeEP organises the traditional Festival Pomladi (Spring Festival), a festival of music and visual arts at Tivoli Park in Ljubljana, and has also co-created several other festivals, eg Otokultivato at Vis in Croatia, the Futura Festival in Sarajevo and projectOUT in Helsinki.

Site-specific projects

CodeEP has organised a number of site-specific projects, eg the ProstoRož - FlowerSpace Association project launched by a group of architects to revive the old city centre of Ljubljana, following the fashionable 'revitalisation doctrine' of 'urban renewal' in the major world cities.

Residencies

Recently CodeEP has run the MoTA- Museum of Transitory Art programme of residencies for artists. In November and December 2009 an intermedia artist and theoretician Nedine Kachornnamsong (Thailand/Sweden) worked in Ljubljana on some projects in collaboration with Ljudmila - Ljubljana Digital Media Lab.
