The publication first appeared in 1990 as M'ZIN, Fanzine of the Network for Metelkova, the initiative for the establishment of an independent arts centre in Ljubljana. Initially published by ŠKUC Association, it was later taken over by the Emzin Cultural Institute and professionalised.
