The Institute of Information Sciences Library is a specialised library which was founded in 1989 at the Computer Centre of Maribor University. Since 1991 the library has been part of the COBISS - Slovene Virtual Library system, which was developed here at IZUM. The library’s collection of 5,200 items comprises mostly books from the fields of information sciences, librarianship, computer sciences, economy and engineering, plus numerous periodicals. The Institute of Information Sciences Library engages in inter-library exchange with the British Library Document Supply Centre and the Subito Centre, Germany. IZUM is a member of both IFLA and ALA.
