As successor to the Soros Center for Contemporary Arts (1993-1999) the SCCA-Ljubljana Centre for Contemporary Arts has collected a rich collection of catalogues and periodicals from the region of Central and Eastern Europe and Asia.

It gives special attention to new media and video art. The library holds a lot of publications from the regions of Central and Eastern Europe as well as Asia. The library also incorporates a videotheque, based in the SCCA-Ljubljana's ''[[Videodokument]]'' documentation project. The titles of the library collection are also available online. It is also possible to borrow material to work at home.

The collection is housed in the [[SCCA-Ljubljana Centre for Contemporary Arts Project Room]] and has been regularly updated in recent years with new publications, primarily Slovene and international periodicals, exhibition catalogues and books on theory and curatorial practice in contemporary visual and new media art. The library is open to cultural professionals and seeks to compliment the centre's research, education, information and consultancy programmes.
 
The Library also incorporates a videotheque, which hosts SCCA-Ljubljana's [[Videodokument]] programme.
