Founded in 1938, the Library of the Slovene Academy of Sciences and Arts (SAZU) is a specialised library which has the third largest book collection in Slovenia. Exchanges of publications and duplicate stock have been established with over 1,550 institutions throughout the world and represent the most significant and active sphere of the Library's activities. SAZU Library is organised as the central library of the Academy with 17 smaller branch units attached to the various institutes of the Scientific Research Centre (ZRC SAZU). Its stock is searchable via the COBISS - Slovene Virtual Library system.
