Švicarija Art Centre Residencies
Artist Work Studios
Each of the eleven artistic work studios for artists from the Municipality of Ljubljana is given through an open call to an individual artist for the duration of five years. The studios are suitable for visual artists (painters, photographers, video artists, illustrators, comic book artists, sculptors, etc.) and for the artists developing new production models and ways of art presentation (e.g., installations, performances, sound and light art, transdisciplinary connections between art and heritage, science, ecology, urbanism, etc.). They are furnished with basic technical equipment (a worktable, a chair, storage cabinets and a sink with running water). Artists can work in the studios rent-free but they are obliged to pay other expenses in accordance with the contract for the lease of real estate for free use.
Young Artists Residencies
Two apartments with a work studio are offered through an open call to visual artists for the duration of two years. As in the case of aforementioned artist work studios artists can work and live in the studios rent-free but they are obliged to pay other expenses in accordance with the contract for the lease of real estate for free use.
