The Library of the Department of Asian Studies was established in 1995 and it houses over 12,000 items. The majority of the library's holdings is comprised of books on humanistic studies in the field of Japanology and Sinology, as well as study material on Korea, India, and Africa. Several magazines and journals are also available, a phono-laboratory is available for about 30 students.
Since 1997 the library publishes the biannual periodical Asian and African Studies in English, Chinese, and Japanese.
