Karantanija Cinemas Ltd has been the official distributor of films by London United International Pictures (with Hollywood's Universal Studios, Paramount Pictures, and DreamWorks) since 1993. It collaborates with some of the biggest independent studios, including Capitol, Lakeshore, Lions Gate, Signature, Syndicate, ICON, Nu Image, Gaumont, Seven Arts, and Beyond. It has also distributed a variety of Slovene films produced by Vertigo/Emotionfilm, such as Ekspres ekspres, Outsider, Carmen, Stereotype [Stereotip], Porno Film, The Ode to Prešeren [Oda Prešernu], Idle Running [V leru], Bread and Milk [Kruh in mleko], and Spare Parts [Rezervni deli].

Together with its partners Video Top International (Croatia) and Taramount Film (Serbia/Montenegro), Karantanija Cinemas Ltd has successfully collaborated with over 80 film studios, distributing Slovene and foreign films, both commercial and independent, throughout Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, and Albania.
