The Library Association of Ljubljana is a voluntary, independent, non-profit organisation of librarians, founded in 1968, though it had been engaged as Ljubljana unit of the Slovenian Library Association as early as 1954.

The association aims to develop library science in theory and practice in order to raise the level of library activities and staff education. Its objectives are a good library network and the unity of the information system. It organises lectures, meetings, and visits and, if necessary, raises library-related issues in the public media. The association is based in the Central Technological Library, University of Ljubljana.

The association is active in the Municipality of Ljubljana and the surrounding municipalities of Borovnica, Brezovica, Cerknica, Dobrepolje, Dobrova-Horjul-Polhov Gradec, Dol pri Ljubljani, Domžale, Grosuplje, Hrastnik, Ig, Ivančna Gorica, Kamnik, Kočevje, Litija, Logatec, Loška dolina, Loški Potok, Lukovica, Medvode, Mengeš, Moravče, Ribnica, Škofljica, Trbovlje, Velike Lašče, Vodice, Vrhnika, and Zagorje ob Savi. It is a member of the Slovenian Library Association.
