The Slovene Comparative Literature Association joins academics and scholars who study comparative literature and literary theory. By way of organising international symposia, conferences, and lectures, they strive to ensure the advancement of the discipline, the promotion of new achievements and findings, and the efficient coordination of their projects and members. This, in turn, also facilitates a better international recognition of Slovene comparative literature scholarship. In addition, they publish Primerjalna književnost (Comparative Literature), a journal that has been running for over 30 years.
The Slovene Comparative Literature Association is a member of the International Comparative Literature Association (ICLA/AILC) and a founding member of the European Network for Comparative Literary Studies (REELC/ENCLS).
