The Student Organization of the University of Ljubljana was established in 1990. Its principal mission is to maintain high-quality education and offer a wide range of extracurricular activities. In addition, it organises various events in culture, education, sport, and entertainment. Several prominent cultural institutes and organisations operate under its auspices, including the Kersnikova Institute, the Academic Choir Tone Tomšič, the France Marolt Student Folk Dance Group, and Radio Študent.
