Borghesia (Italian for bourgeoisie) is a legendary electronic body music (EBM) band, formed in Ljubljana in 1982. The band consisted of the members of the alternative theatre group Theatre FV-112/15. The group's aesthetics – lyrics, visual performance, video production – used the imagery and themes of surveillance, prohibition, sexual taboos, and repression. Borghesia were along Laibach the most eminent representatives of the Slovene alternative scene of the 1980s. The band went on several European tours in from 1988 to 1991. They released 4 albums on the well-known international indie label Play It Again Sam/Wax Trax.

Band member, music producer, activist, and DJ Aldo Ivančić later formed the music collective Bast. In 2009 FV Music label (founded by Borghesia members in 1985) released the double CD, 20th Century – Selected Works, an anthology of Borghesia's most dangerous, dancing-in-underground and ambiental songs and instrumentals.
