Biblos is the first Slovene eLibrary and eBookshop, where users can borrow or purchase e-books. Established in 2013 and run by Beletrina Publishing Institute, Biblos is collaborating with both the various Slovene publishing houses on one side and the better part of the Slovenian library network.

The borrowing system works on the basis of the particular libraries first purchasing the books and than – through Biblos – leasing them for the period of two weeks. They can be read on home computers, various e-readers and android/iOS portable devices.
