The Department of Library and Information Science offers undergraduate programmes leading to a BLib degree and postgraduate research programmes. MA studies consist of three programmes on Librarianship, Information Science and Publishing Studies. PhD programme on Information Science os available as an interdisciplinary study programme conducted between Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Social Science.

The Department of Library and Information Science has its own library.
