Almira Sadar (b 1963) graduated in architecture and then specialised in industrial design at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana. Since 1997 she has been a Senior Lecturer at Department of Textiles, University of Ljubljana. In recent years she has exhibited in Slovenia (Biennial of Industrial Design (BIO), Biennial of Graphic Arts) and in Denmark, Chile and Austria, and has collaborated on several projects with Marija Jenko Starič. Twice each year since 1998 she has created her own collection for the AlmiraSadar label. In 2003 she opened a showroom for her own exclusive women's wear and accessories in the centre of Ljubljana.
