The library of the Department of Comparative Literature and Literary Theory was established in 1927. It maintains a collection of textbooks and other reference books covering the fields of comparative literature, literary theory, Slovene literature, and other related areas.

The library's collection comprises some 17,000 titles. It is subscribed to more than 40 foreign and Slovene academic journals and magazines.
