Hupa Brajdič is an artistic collective founded by the cultural and artistic society Center 21. Its name is a composite of the Slovenian word for “horn” (Hupa) and Brajdič as one of the most common Roma family names in Slovenia. Its members work in a wide range of artistic fields, including film, theatre, performative art, music and intermedia art. In addition, several Hupa Brajdič’s projects also address the topic of environment and its protection. The collective live events (such as concerts, performances, exhibitions and so on) take place in an alternative art venue “Podhod” in the abandoned underpass Ajdovščina in the center of Ljubljana. In Podhod, Hupa Brajdič organizes around 80 events every year.
