Kavč Festival, founded in 2016, is a music and performance festival that mostly takes place in private apartments and houses (hence on people’s couches). Every year a great number of musicians and performers from Slovenia and abroad sign up to perform, while members of the public sign up as potential hosts. Apartments (as well as galleries, museums, basements, mountain huts and other unconventional locations) become innovative and intimate concert venues, bringing together the artists and the public. In addition to the concerts happening in private residences, some concerts also take place in more conventional public venues such as Kino Šiška Centre for Urban Culture.
