The field of illustration is particularly vibrant in Slovenia, connecting a promotion centre, specialised exhibition spaces and festivals. Rooted in the achievements of the socialist publishing endeavors (the so called "golden age of children’s literature") and backed up by the ongoing activities of the network of public libraries it maintains a high quality profile. As illustration often overlaps with comic art you are welcome to explore also a separate list of main protagonists in this branch.
