Residency programme
The house includes two large apartments, two art studios, a wood workshop and a sauna while the surrounding area includes a children’s playground, a permaculture garden, an outdoor resort under development, a forest being transformed into an imaginary labyrinth, an outdoor stage etc. On the adjacent farm, an additional art residency house provides extra accommodation with a combined living and working space, a shared kitchen and bathroom, as well as two bedrooms.
The residence welcomes artists from the fields of design, theatre, dance and visual arts. The duration of the residency can extend from one week to two months. The residence cannot provide cost coverage. Artists-in-residence donate an amount defined on the basis of a suggested contribution prior to their arrival. They also cover their travel costs and per diems. During the stay, artists-in-residence have the possibility to publicly present or share their research or creative work in the form of presentations, workshops or other formats. Candidates for the residence can apply through an open call but can also be personally invited or send a personal request for a residency.
