Organised annually since 2003 in the town of Kamnik, Kamfest dubs itself as the "Festival with a view". Its programme ranges from children's performances, standup comedy and film screenings to jazz, rock, electronic and classical chamber music gigs of international artists. In terms of quality and diversity as well as in how imaginatively the festival is being produced Kamfest is surely among the strongest "local summer festivals" in Slovenia.

Venues

The open-air festival has multiple stages, starting with the ambient-intensive mains stage in front of the Mali grad chapel & castle ruins and the intimate small jazz stage in front of the Zaprice Castle. Other venues include the riverfront, various parks, local gardens, the Veronika Gallery, Kamnik, even a set of public transport buses, provisionally parked in the old city centre, and many other spaces spread around the town.
