Since being established in 2000 by director and screenwriter Miha Čelar, Astral Film has produced several feature films and documentaries, as well as cross-media documentaries and docu-fiction projects. Productions in their filmography include the feature Amir (2002), the documentary films Tatjana in Motherland (2014) and Goodnight, Irene (2017), the cross-media documentary project Reinventing the Wheel (2016), featuring an animated beaver who tells the story of the oldest wooden wheel in the world, which was discovered in the Ljubljana marshes in 2003, and the docu-fiction Codelli (2016).
