Brice Pauset is not only a well-established contemporary composer, but also an outstanding connoisseur and interpreter of early music for the harpsichord. For our festival, he has therefore assembled a rich programme in which contemporary music is intertwined with early music, in some cases very early music. Perotin and Stockhausen, Muffat and Lachenmann, Gallus and Urška Pompe, Froberger and Elliott Carter, Schumann and Georg Friedrich Haas, to mention just a few of the unusual historical juxtapositions that will come to light at the 19th Slowind Festival 2017. . Our guests this time include: the early music ensemble Académie des Secrets, Ensemble Contrechamps with conductor Michael Wendeberg, the APZ Tone Tomšič Choir with conductor Jerica Gregorc Bukovec, the Dissonance String Quartet, the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Michael Wendeberg, as well as numerous soloists.
