Established in 1997 with the aim of stimulating young people’s mobility, especially international mobility in the fields of education and culture, MOVIT comprises three organisational units. The first functions as the national agency for the EU Youth programme (see [http://mladina.movit.si http://mladina.movit.si ]and [[International]] section), which is aimed at youth organisations and other institutions active in the field, while the other two units operate programmes for individuals. One is responsible for the distribution of the European Youth Card EURO26 (see [http://www.euro26.si http://www.euro26.si]), while the other is responsible for the development of bilateral collaborations, announcing and organising international camps, summer schools and placements. MOVIT also participates in the informal EU Platform Network for states, regions and municipalities in Europe, which seeks to strengthen co-operation between young people and the regions and to exchange knowledge and experience in the fields of youth work and youth policy. | Established in 1997 with the aim of stimulating young people’s mobility, especially international mobility in the fields of education and culture, MOVIT comprises three organisational units.
