Archipelag-Archipelago is a festival of contemporary arts which takes place across borders. Originating in the 1960s as a programme of the Associazione Provinciale Artisti Isontini and Skupina 2xGO, the first festival was organised by Limb Cultural Institute and the [[Gong Institute]]. Today the festival is a spontaneous confrontation of artists from both Goricas - the Slovene Nova Gorica and the Italian Gorizia - which presents performances, visual arts and concerts as well as animation, film and multimedia. In 2006 around 100 artists participated, double the number of the previous year.
