History
The Quartet was established in the 1950s. Its members have remained constant since 1983, and comprise Monika Skalar (violin, who is also a professor at the Academy of Music), Karel Žužek (violin), Franc Avsenek (viola) and Stane Demšar ('cello), all of whom are members of the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra and Camerata Labacensis orchestra.
Repertoire and performances
The Quartet's studio recordings are sold by Slovene as well as international music publishers. The Quartet's repertoire includes classical music works, some contemporary pieces and works of Slovenian composers.
Discography
Two of their CDs have been released by the RTV Slovenia record label. The first one is dedicated entirely to Hugo Wolf and was included in the BBC Radio 3 programme.
