Trnfest Festival is a traditional international summer festival which takes place in August on an open-air stage and inside the KUD France Prešeren Arts and Culture Association in Ljubljana. Since its beginning in 1992 the festival's programme is broad and combines theatrical events, music, video projections, dance performances and afternoon shows for children; attendance is free of charge. The main criteria for inclusion in its programme are quality, variety, humorous content and a degree of summertime levity.
