The Slovenian Culture and Information Centre in Austria (SKICA) was established in Vienna in 2011 as a dislocated unit of the Embassy of Slovenia in Austria and based at the Slovene student house and cultural centre Korotan. The aim of the centre is to integrate Slovene cultural-artistic and scientific-research creativity into a cultural milieu of the city of Vienna and broader. SKICA should become a central forum and a representative of the arts and culture from Slovenia in Austria, and as such a model for the future network of Slovene culture and information centres abroad.
