The music programme of Mariborski radio Študent (MARŠ) closely observes and values home production. In 1995 MARŠ introduced the first media award for home rock music production called the 'MARŠ Walking Boot' (Maršev gojzar), bestowed on the most original rock’n’roll band. In this way MARŠ encourages creative, original and innovative rock music.
