The Matiček Award is bestowed by an expert jury at the annual Linhart's Meetings of performing arts groups organised by the Public Fund for Cultural Activities. Each year the award is made for the best performance by an amateur group and the best performance by a secondary school group, with the criteria of an innovative approach and achievement in acting.
