Originally founded in 1974 in Milan, Italy by Lazar Vujić and active since 1991 in Slovenia, first at the Kolizej Gallery, today the Visconti Fine Art, Mestni trg Gallery operates in the centre of the medieval Ljubljana at Mestni trg 18 (first floor).
The gallery offers a wide range of prominent Slovene and international artists such as IRWIN, Valerio Adami, Jiri Kolar, Roy Lichtenstein, Kazumasa Mizokami, Zoran Musič, Matjaž Počivavšek, Robert Rauschenberg, James Rosenquist, Gabrijel Stupica, David Tremlett, Vladimir Veličković, Andy Warhol, Tom Wesselmann and Milan Zoričić.
Visconti Fine Art has participated at several well-known art fairs, including the Vienna Art Fair. The gallery publishes the Visconti Fine Art Editions (limited edition prints by Živko Marušič and David Tremlett). In addition, the gallery also organises exhibitions abroad (ex-Yu, Italy, etc.), in collaboration with various other galleries, institutions and museums.
In 2015, the exhibition Yu-Art brought together a selection of artists from the former republics of Yugoslavia: Vladimir Veličković, Marina Abramović, Miodrag Djurić DADO, Filo Filipović, Zoran Mušič, Jože Ciuha, Gabrijel Stupica, Matjaž Počivavšek, IRWIN, Dušan Džamonja, Edo Murtić, Miroslav Šutej, Safet Zec, Braco Dimitrijević and Vangel Naumovski. All works stem from the Visconti Fine Art private collection and are available for purchase.
Visconti Fine Art also offers exhibition rentals, with various exhibitions available to rent for any time period, be it for a month or longer. They offer a full range of art consultancy services; for individuals as well as corporations of any size and in any industry. They also offer art space for events.
