The register of Slovene non-movable cultural heritage is an official database collected by the Ministry of Culture. It contains around 25,300 units. The system registry of immovable cultural heritage started to be developed in 1991. Until 1996 the first experimental form of the register was established. From that year units of cultural heritage are being systematically supplemented. The system was designed in accordance to the geographical information system (GIS) and includes description and geolocation data, which are at the moment still inaccessible to public. The system is up-to-date and conforms to the international standards.
