The name of the festival is a direct analogy to Philp K. Dick's novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?. The idea of electric dreams for the name of this small and progressive international video festival was associated with several different species, from rats to androids to humans. Since the very beginning of the festival the aim has been to popularise videastic experimental works and also more filmic approaches in the field of visual art.
