The [[Association of Slovene Photographers]] was established in 1973 with 68 members who are all professional photographers from various Slovene towns. Today it has 480 members whose activities include education work, preserving the photography heritage and organising lectures, exhibitions and fairs. The latter include the annual Fotoantika fair at Križanke and the biennial Foto stik ('Photo Contact') at Gospodarsko razstavišče in Ljubljana, which is run concurrently with the Alpe-Adria fair (organised by the [[Alpe-Adria Working Community, Slovenia]]).
