The SAE Institute Ljubljana opened its doors to students interested in the field of audio and electronic music production in autumn 2003. It is part of the Australia-based private college School of Audio Engineering (SAE) Institute, a large network of education centres (41 schools around the world) collaborating with Middlesex University, Great Britain and dedicated to audio and media programmes.

Programme

Apart from RTV Slovenia, the institute is one of the few institutions in Slovenia that offer systematic education for future professionals in the audio production and media industry. Programmes at SAE provide practical training in audio engineering and electronic music production. The former last two years After completing the first and the second year, the student receives Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Audio Production (Middlesex University). The short course of Electronic Music Production is aimed for future professionals in the industry of electronically generated music.

Courses at SAE are taught in English, they also offer language support in Slovenian and Croatian. The Institute is providing free studio productions and technical equipment for bands and artists from Slovenia and the region.
