Thus it has presented the Zagreb Gavella Drama Theatre and Croatian National Theatre, the Novi Sad Theatre, Serbia, as well as the Croatian National Theatre in Split. Next to post-performance talks with actors and directors, panel discussions focused on [[Ivan Cankar|Ivan Cankar's]] dramatic work, or recent interpretations of ''Hamlet''. Round tables tackled the approaches to modern adaptations of classic dramatic texts and literary prose, and the staging of Japanese modern Nô plays.

The programme comprises selected productions of Slovene theatre houses and intriguing performances by international theatres, thus far mainly from the wider region. In 2019 the festival introduced the Audience Award for the best production.

Next to post-performance talks with actors and directors, panel discussions and round tables are organised addressing the issues and themes opened up by the festival's performances.
