Up to 2009 Etnika hosted several grops and all of them performed in Slovenia for the first time: Poum Tchack (France), Pressburger Klezmer Band (Slovakia), Arasinda (Hungary) (in 2006), Banjara - The Gypsies of Radjastan (India), Eszter Biro (Hungary) and Montevideo (Uruguay, Chile, USA, Croatia, Austria) (2007), and Karandila Gypsy Brass Orchestra (Bulgaria), Stepanida Borisova & Ramesh Shotham (Sibiria, India) and Bose/Ghosh/Mallick Trio (India). In 2009 the program included also three groups from Slovenia playing the world music genre: Burkina & Guinea Project, Zdenek Bily Dixieland Band and Cana Flamenca.

The portal and its content is owned and funded by the Ministry of Culture, funded by the European Union Recovery and Resilience Plan and developed by Ljudmila Art and Science Laboratory.
