Hiša band, established in 1991, is well known Slovene folk rock band. The band draws on the heritage of folk and country west American bands from the 60’s and 70’s. They have brought the american blend sound to Slovenia and added polyphonic singing to it. Their music also consists elements of modern blues and pop-jazz. Its members are Andrej Guček, Vili Guček, Martin Koncilja and Iztok Pepelnjak.

The band has released several albums: »Hiša« (1994), »Neskončna pot« (1996), »Illusion anyway« (1997), »Kompas srca« (1998), »Nevarna razmerja« (2000), »Silicijevo nebo« (2002), »Trenutki 1992–2002« (2004) , »Za en dotik« (2006), »Čas ali svoboda« (2010) and »Skoraj poletje« (2011).

Awards

Hiša band has received several awards for their work: “Zlata nota” award for best debut album (1994), an award for best debut band on Slovenijarock Festival (1995), “Zlati petelin” award for best album in foreign language – Illusion anyway (1997), “Zlati petelin” award for best rock song (1998) and award for the best album of the year from the readers of Nedeljski dnevnik magazine (2006).
