[[Max Club]] in Velenje, operating since [[established::1991]], organises and hosts concerts of various genres. Among appearances of Slovene and some foreign rock and pop music artists (Bajaga,  Partibrejkers, Rambo Amadeus, [[Miladojka Youneed]], [[Peter Lovšin]], [[Magnifico]], [[Anja Rupel]], [[Strelnikoff]], Defunkt, etc.), an important part of the club's concert activities is directed towards jazz music.

==Max Club Jazz Festival==
From 1999 till 2002 the club organised the Max Club Jazz Festival with the parallel Max Jazz Club Clinic, a series of workshops for young jazz musicians led by the late Croatian percussionist Boško Petrović. In March 2012, the club renewed the festival under the curatorship of saxophonist and composer [[Jure Pukl Quartet|Jure Pukl]] and producer [[Marko Kolšek]] within the Velenje Festival under the leadership of [[Maribor, European Capital of Culture 2012]].
